From looking at my tables of qualities I am able to see which qualities I need to improve on. These consist of;
- Reading
- Verbal Communication
- Written Communication
Another quality that could be improved on is my verbal communication. Verbal Communication has become very important as it has become a necessity in every aspect of life daily. Verbal Communication is the process which allows people to be able to talk with each other so they can understand what meages they want to get across Likewise with reading it is an interaction via speech for instant a man talking. From the table of qualities I have highlighted it as an area which can be worked upon so it can be improved. I feel the reason why this quality is weak is because as a person I may speak really fast which makes it hard for the other people to take in as so much is given to them at one time. Though my verbal communication skills are not be the best they are methods which I can use and practise which will help improve my reading skill. One method which I am able to use and practise is to start reading slowing down when talking. This would be beneficial for me because by slowng down I can become more clearer when talking, this would be beneficial because people are able to understand something I may say. This would allow my my verbal communication to be more professional when communicating. For this improvement to be made I need to practise by slowing down my speech. These can consist of being carm when talking and not being 'over excited'. I have already started to do something to improve this quality, this is because I want to improve this quality. To improve this I have started to talk with freinds more carmly whithout speaking to fast. By doing this I will be getting used to talking at a slow rate compared to before. this can help me in the long term when applying for a job i can get my points across more clearly.
The last quality that could be improved is my written communication. Written Communication has become very important as it has become a necessity in every aspect of life daily nowadays. Written communication is the process which allows people to understand and communicate with each other by sharing information and ideas on paper. Likewise with speaking it is an interaction via text and reader/s, for instant a reader is reading a piece of writing on paper. From the table of qualities I have highlighted it as an area which can be worked upon so it can be improved. I feel the reason why this quality is weak is because as a person I am not a big fan of reading, this meant I didn't read as much as I can do which has not allowed my vocabulary to be expansive. Though my written communication are not that brilliant they are methods which I can use and practise which will help improve my written skill. One method which I am able to use and practise is to start reading some sort of reading material. This would be beneficial for me because by reading I am to pick up new and expand my vocabulary, this would be beneficial because I am able to understand something more complex words and use it in writing making it far more superior making sound more professional which I did not know before for instant instead of using 'nevertheless' I would use ‘on the other hand’. This would allow my written communication to look and sound more professional when reading it. For this improvement to be made I need to start reading, reading material. These can consist of novels, newspapers, leaflets, non fiction books and etc. I have already started to do something to improve this quality; this is because I want to improve this quality. To improve this I have started to reading a broadcast newspaper at least once a week, for example in the newspaper I was reading a article about the situation in Libya. By doing this I will be picking up new vocabulary and grammar techniques which can be used in my work to sound more professional sounding and more understandable which will me allow me to hit the boundaries for the distinctions which would be very beneficial for me as it would get the higher grades.
